Choose the right practice
New typists should establish home-row movement and clean key presses. Experienced typists gain more from targeted work on weak letters, punctuation, capitalization, numbers or code symbols.
Short practice repeated often is easier to absorb than one long, exhausting session. End a drill while your movement is still controlled.
Turn results into a plan
After each test, review weak keys and missed words. Practise the top pattern slowly, retake a comparable test, and look for better accuracy before increasing speed.
